Donald Trump and Elon Musk recently had a very public fallout. Here is all about the bill that made the two's relationship sour.

While the internet jokes about this being Pride Month’s first big ‘breakup’ or Elon Musk’s countless meltdowns on X (formerly Twitter), everybody is tuned in to whatever is happening between the President of America and the Tesla mogul. On Thursday, Elon Musk publicly criticised Donald Trump’s $4 trillion spending and tax bill. Trump responded by saying he was very disappointed by Elon’s opinion on his ‘big and beautiful bill.’ Here is everything you need to know about the said bill and how it ended, what seemed like a loving bromance between the two.
What Is The Bill Elon Musk And Donald Trump Are Fighting Over
The bill that has caused this fallout between the pair that once were thought to be inseparable is actually a budget bill. Musk has claimed that this particular bill would increase the country’s budget deficit to $2.5 trillion. Elon has expressed his disappointment with the massive spending bill since early May.
This bill will cause some major financial cuts in various sectors of the government and their policy programmes. Funding for Medicaid subsidies is said to have dropped by $698bn. Major social security programmes on which millions of Americans rely will also be affected.
Why Elon Is Upset Over The Bill
1. The proposed bill has reduced the electric vehicle tax credit, which helps car makers like Tesla. Elon Musk has spent a significant amount of time lobbying for credit and is also said to have spent over $240,000 on it.
2. Musk was appointed as a Special Government Employee in the White House. The time limit set for this unpaid advisory position is 130 days, however, Musk was told that he could not keep serving in that capacity by the White House officials.

3. Elon also wanted the Federal Aviation Administration to use his Starlink satellite system for national air traffic control. However, the White House refused his suggestion because of technological reasons and other conflicts of interest.
4. The final blow to Trump and Elon’s relationship came when the president of America withdrew the nomination of Jared Isaacman to be the NASA administrator. Isaacman was backed by Musk, hence this greatly affected him.
5. After Jared’s nomination was dropped by Trump, it was reported that Sergio Gor, the Office of Presidential Personnel, had clashed with Musk. A white House Official said that the argument was extremely heated.
