PV Sindhu was travelling with her team, including her coach, when the trouble began. She shared a video on Instagram showing crowded terminals and passengers waiting without any updates. She wrote that all flights were suspended until further notice. In another post, she explained how the sudden escalation felt scary and challenging to understand. She mentioned hearing sounds of interceptions overhead and seeing how fast things became intense. Despite all of it, she assured everyone that she and her team were alright in a safe spot at the airport.

For the unversed, The All England Open is a big badminton event set to begin on March 3 in Birmingham. As she is one of India’s top players, the two-time Olympic medallist’s presence means a lot to fans. As of now, the Badminton World Federation has not yet said anything about delays or any other thing. The Indian Embassy is working to help her and other Indians caught in the disruption.
