In a shocking news peice today, the police data reportedly revealed that more than 500 women and girls among 807 people have gone missing in Delhi. This data raises concerns for public safety, particularly for women and minors. The worst part is that this happened in just the first 15 days of 2026. Read on to know important details about the same!

More Than 500 Women Go Missing In Delhi In First 15 Days Of 2026

As per the reports, around 509 women and girls of 807 people were reported missing in the first 15 days of January 2026. The silver lining is that out of those 807 missing people, 235 people have been traced so far; however, 572 people remain untraced. As per PTI, out of the missing individuals, 191 are minors. Among them, 146 were girls and 45 boys went missing. 169 minors happened to be teenagers and out of them, 138 were girls and 31 were boys. In the pre-teen age group (8 to 12) 13 kids were registered missing, out of which 8 were boys and 5 were girls. Additionally, nine minors below the age of 8 went missing. As per the report, police have traced only six children from the minors’ age group so far.

Details About Missing Adults in Delhi

The reports state that 616 adults went missing in Delhi, including 363 women and 253 men. So far, police have been able to find 181 adults. Although conversations regarding women and minors’ safety are happening but this alarming data has made everyone concerned. We hope that the police are able to find better leads and solve more missing cases.
