PM Modi Mourns Death Of Dr Manmohan Singh, Recalls Old Interactions: “His Wisdom And Humility…”
PM Modi expressed grief over the death of the former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh after his death on Dec 26.

After the sudden demise of Dr Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi took to Twitter to share condolences and recall old memories with the former Prime Minister. Calling him one of India’s “most distinguished” leaders, PM Modi highlighted his efforts to improve the lives of the citizens while also recalling his interactions with the Congress Leader back when he was the CM of Gujarat.

In two long posts on X (formerly Twitter), Prime Minister Narendra Modi pointed out how Dr Manmohan Singh had a humble life and worked hard to become a respected economist. He also shared how the former Prime Minister served the country and left a strong impact on our economic policy while terming his interventions in Parliament “insightful”.
PM Modi Recalls Interacting With Former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh
Sharing several pictures with former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, PM Modi recalled regular interaction and extensive conversations with the politician on different subjects back when he was the Chief Minister of Gujarat. Expressing deep grief over his death, Modi Ji also recalled the Indian Economist’s wisdom and humility. The Prime Minister of India also shared condolences with family, friends and admirers of the former Indian leader.
Several other political leaders including Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Union Minister JP Nadda, and Congress leaders Priyanka Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi, Shashi Tharoor have expressed grief and rushed to AIIMS Delhi to mourn the loss with his family.
How Did Ex-PM Manmohan Singh Die?
According to a statement issued by AIIMS Delhi, Dr Manmohan Singh was rushed to the hospital after he lost consciousness at home followed by attempts to resuscitate him. However, despite the best efforts by the doctors at AIIMS Delhi, the former Prime Minister could not be revived and was declared dead around 9 pm on Thursday, Dec 26. The Congress leader was reportedly unwell for a long time and was undergoing treatment for age-related health problems before his condition suddenly deteriorated.
