Maharashtra natives woke up to tragic news today. The state’s deputy CM, Ajit Pawar, passed away in a plane crash with four others present. One of the people was the young captain, Shambhavi Pathak, who was a part of two person cockpit crew with Pilot in Command, Captain Sumit Kapur. Read on to know all about Shambhavi as people mourn the loss of lives in the said crash.
Who Is Captain Shambhavi Pathak?
It seems that Shambhavi Pathak always knew that she would fly high in the sky by becoming a pilot one day. She reportedly finished her secondary education at Air Force Bal Bharati School in 2018. To pursue further training in the field, Shambhavi enrolled at the New Zealand International Commercial Pilot Academy. It’s being said that she earned her Commercial Pilot Licence (CPL) between 2018 and 2019.
But she did not stop her. Reports indicate that the late pilot further studied Bachelors of Science in Aeronautics, Aviation and Aerospace Science and Technology at Mumbai University, finishing her studies in 2022. Shambhavi also achieved a “Frozen ATPL” (Airline Transport Pilot License). This was very important because it pointed to her passing the high-level theoretical exams required to fly commercial airlines. Additionally, she also mentored young aspiring pilots at Madhya Pradesh Flying Club, acting as an Assistant Flight Instructor.
