Vinesh Phogat is on an undefeated chain as she reaches the semi-finals of women wrestling at the Paris Olympics 2024. Vinesh defeated beats Ukraine’s Oksana Livach by 7-5 in the freestyle category. Previously during the pre-quarterfinals, Vinesh defeated the reigning number 1. The match which took place on Day 11 of the Olympics, began with Susaki taking an early lead. The Japanese wrestler, known for her formidable defence and three world championship titles, scored the first point due to Phogat’s passivity. Despite the initial setback, Phogat remained composed, a testament to her experience and strategic prowess. As the bout progressed, Susaki attempted to secure more points by targeting Phogat’s leg, but the Indian wrestler skillfully evaded the attacks.
