Ashanya Dwivedi, wife of Pahalgam terror attack victim Shubham Dwivedi, has finally spoken out since the tragic loss of her husband, thanking Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the Indian Armed Forces for what she termed a true act of justice. Her words are in the wake of Operation Sindoor, India’s military strike against terror bases after the April 22 terror attack that killed 26 civilians, including her husband.
Pahalgam Victim Reacts To Operation Sindoor
This is the true tribute to my husband, she stated in an ANI statement. She further spoke about his husband, saying that she wished wherever he may be, he knows he is peaceful today. She also said how her whole family believed in PM Modi, and the manner in which he reacted has reaffirmed their faith. She also wished to thank him for providing justice, for not allowing this horror to go unpunished.
Her statement was made just hours after India confirmed Operation Sindoor had been conducted successfully by its military forces. In a late-night statement on May 7, the Press Information Bureau announced the operation had been focused on nine targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir. Those targets were deemed as crucial points for planning and commanding cross-border terror activities. This move is a direct reaction to the brutal Pahalgam attack, the official statement said. The statement also claimed to bring justice to the victims.

Shubham, a 30-year-old Kanpurite, had only recently started a new chapter in life. Married on February 12 this year, he was on a vacation trip to Pahalgam’s picturesque Baisaran Valley with Ashanya and her sister when their lives were brutally shattered by an unprovoked terrorist attack. Shubham was shot in the head and killed while attempting to shield his loved ones when gunfire erupted targeting tourists in what is being termed as one of the extensive attacks in Jammu and Kashmir in recent years.
