Noida Murder Case: Nikki Bhati’s Husband Denies All Charges, Claims She Died By Suicide

The shocking dowry murder case in Noida will boil your blood. Nikki Bhati was allegedly tortured and set on fire by her husband, Vipin Bhati, in the presence of his family members. Vipin was later arrested by the police in an encounter after he tried to escape. Despite facing charges of murder and torture, he insists that his wife took her own life and died by suicide. Vipin Bhati Denies Murder And Torture Charges

Vipin Bhati, who was recently shot in the leg by Uttar Pradesh Police in an encounter after allegedly trying to escape custody, was interviewed by reporters when brought to a hospital on Sunday. Talking to the media, Bhati said that he has no remorse over his wife’s death because he did not kill her. The man further denied allegations of domestic violence and torture by claiming that fights between husbands and wives are common.

What Happened To Nikki Bhati

There were reports of some media outlets reporting that Nikki Bhati’s death was indeed caused by murder and not suicide earlier. However, this version has been strongly rejected by the victim’s family. Her family alleges that Vipin repeatedly used to tortured both Nikki and her family over unfulfilled dowry demands of Rs. 35 lakh and a new car.

According to Nikki’s father, this abuse had been ongoing for years, and the family even tried to fight back; however, due to societal pressures, Nikki was sent back to her in-laws’ home after they promised to change. However, the abuse did not stop. 

Another disturbing aspect of this murder case is that the couple’s six-year-old child was a witness to the abuse inflicted on his mother. The child recalled the entire scene where Vipin poured flammable liquid on Nikki and set her on fire. She then passed away on her way to the hospital due to severe burn injuries.

Police reports suggest that Nikki was brutally tortured and later set on fire with a lighter inside the family home. Her father has demanded strict punishment for both Vipin Bhati and his family members.

Vipin, along with his mother and brother, has been arrested for Nikki Bhati’s murder. The case has once again brought to light the horrors of dowry murder. And many are calling for stronger enforcement of dowry-related laws and protection for women trapped in abusive marriages.
