Noida Dowry Case: Nikki Bhati’s Son Saw His Mother Being Burnt Alive, Claims Victim’s Father

The police have recovered some CCTV footage as per the latest updates on the case.

The shocking Noida dowry case has sent shockwaves across the country. A 28-year-old woman, Nikki Bhati, was burnt alive allegedly over dowry issues. The police investigation is currently ongoing in the matter, and there have been some recent developments too. However, this case gets even worse because the victim’s son reportedly saw his mother on fire, and he is currently in a lot of trauma, too. Read on.

Victim’s Son Present When Mother Burnt Alive: Reports

Nikki Bhati was allegedly burnt alive over dowry demands, and the victim’s sister has accused her husband, Vipin Bhati of the crime. Currently, he along with the mother-in-law, father-in-law and brother-in-law are in police custody. As per an NDTV report, Nikki’s father has claimed that her son was present when her mother was burnt alive. As per the report, the kid cries every evening saying that his mother was burnt. Furthermore, the child also claimed that he had seen some liquid being poured on his mother before she was set on fire.

As per the earlier reports, Nikki Bhati was also a victim to domestic abuse and she had tried to return to her family. However, due to the family pressures and other society expectations, she had to return home. Reportedly, her in-laws had demanded 39 lakh in dowry again after 9 years of marriage. The victim’s sister claimed that the in-laws had burnt Nikki in front of her.

A video of Vipin had also surfaced in which he spoke briefly to the media. As per the alleged accused’s statement, Nikki Bhati had died by suicide and he also showed no kind of remorse.
