Nita Ambani Once Travelled To Sri Lanka In Her Private Jet To Get Crockery For Her Kitchen. Gareebi Ka Ehsaas Ho Gaya!

Billionaire Mukesh Ambani’s wife Nita Ambani has exquisite taste in things. Whether it is her opulent jewellery collection or her home decor, the philosopher always has everything unique. Nita Ambani also has a keen eye for kitchenware. The likeliness of it even made her take a special trip to Sri Lanka in her private jet to achieve a unique set of crockery. She wanted crockery from Japan’s oldest manufacturer Noritake.

Nita Ambani’s Sri Lanka Trip

Nita Ambani’s penchant for luxury took her to Sri Lanka in her private jet. However, this wasn’t some usual crockery. Noritake is a well-known Japanese brand known for its porcelain crockery embellished with 22-carat gold and platinum. However, the brand’s largest manufacturing hub is in Sri Lanka, which also serves as an export base, making the products less expensive there than in India.

According to The Economic Times, a 50-piece Noritake dinner set with gold and platinum trim costs between USD 300 and USD 500, or around Rs. 25,000 to Rs. 42,000 in Sri Lanka. However, the same set costs USD 800 to USD 2000, or Rs. 67,000 to Rs. 1.6 lakh in India. So purchasing the set from Sri Lanka saved Mukesh Ambani’s wife 80% of the cost. Wow, we are absolutely not jealous of this luxury!
