India mourned the loss of gem Ratan Tata as he passed away on October 9, 2024. The whole country paid tribute to the titan in their own ways and recently Nita Ambani shared a personal anecdote about him. During an event, Nita Ambani revealed that Ratan Tata was not just a great family friend but was also a mentor to his eldest son Akash Ambani, furthermore, Nita Ambani also called him a great son of India.
Nita Ambani For Ratan Tata
During Reliance Industries’ annual Diwali dinner, Nita Ambani paid tribute to Ratan Tata and said, that four days ago, India lost a great son, the passing of Mr Tata filled everyone with immense grief. She further elaborated how he was a dear friend of her father-in-law Dhirubhai Ambani, and of Mukesh Ambani, while also being a mentor to Akash Ambani. She also talked about Mr Ratan being a visionary industrialist and philanthropist who always strove for society’s greater good. Nita Ambani’s speech was further followed by a minute of silence, observed by the whole Amabni family, Reliance leadership, and the thousands of employees who were attending the event.
Mukesh Ambani too had shared a heartfelt note on Tata’s passing, where he expressed his grief over losing dear friend Ratan Tata. His note further said It is a very sad day for India and India Inc. as his passing away is a big loss, not just for the Tata Group, but for every Indian. Mukesh Ambani also shared another personal anecdote about Ratan sir and how he always left him inspired and energised and enhanced his respect for the nobility of his character and the fine human values he embodied.

For the unversed, Ratan Tata was born on December 28, 1937, and served as chairman of Tata Sons from 1991 to 2012 until he retired. In the later years, he held the position of Chairman Emeritus. Following his death, his step-brother Noel Naval Tata has been appointed as the new chairman.
