Mumbai Ranked As The Best Indian City To Find Love. We Respectfully Disagree!

Love, partnership, companionship and trust look like a long-lost concept in this world of red-green flag binaries, cheating, communication issues, and quick move-ons. However, if you are still hopeful about finding love, then Mumbai looks like the perfect place for you, as per the 2025 Time Out survey. Also, this is the only Indian city on the list. No, we are not shocked, but rather we just don’t agree! This comes from a “single” living in the city of Mumbai for the past few years, hardly able to find long-lasting connections, let alone love!

Mumbai Ranked 49th On The Survey List

The 2025 Times Out survey declared Mumbai as ‘India’s most romantic city and quite the perfect one to find love and partners. The city ranks 49th in this list and is the only Indian city, BTW! So basically, the various factors on which the cities compete are food, culture, nightlife, cost of living, and quality of life. Mumbai’s happening nightlife, scrumptious street food, gorgeous touristy places and the amalgamation of mixed cultures contribute to making this city the right place for getting love and ending up with a partner.

However, this is hard to believe. Mumbai is one of the fastest-paced, busiest metropolitan cities of India. People hardly have time here. Agreed, that the city is big on dating culture and one may end up finding a boyfriend or a girlfriend too, but is it long-lasting? As somebody who has lived in Mumbai for some time now, I don’t think it’s the best city to find love. There is a lot of commitment phobia, hook-up culture, multiple affairs, sorts of things happening in the city too, which sometimes discourages you from even making the slightest attempt at finding love, or even approaching people.

“Oh, naah, I don’t believe in love anymore, flings are fine” is a line that one should be habitual to hearing. But well, if a survey believes that the city is better than that, then we see that as a thin ray of hope.
