Cricketer Mohammad Shami’s conflicts with his wife, Hasin Jahan, gained a lot of media and public attention after the latter filed a domestic violence and dowry complaint against him. After the legal battle, an alimony amount for fixed for her and their daughter. However, as per the latest updates on the same, Hasin Jahan has moved to the high court with a plea to increase the alimony as it was not enough. The cricketer has been asked to respond. Hasin Jahan Moves To SC
As per the previous court order, Mohammad Shami was asked to give a monthly allowance of 1.5 lakh to his wife and 2.5 lakh for their daughter. As per an NDTV report, Hasin Jahan has moved to the High Court with a plea to increase the alimony amount as it was not sufficient for the two. This plea challenges Calcutta High Court’s earlier judgement on the alimony case, and now the SC has sent notices to the West Bengal Government and the Mohammad Shami. As per the report, they have been asked to respond within four weeks of the notice.
The hearing on this matter will only take place after the four weeks end.
For the unversed, the legal battle between Shami and his wife has been going on since 2018. Mohammad Shami has denied commenting on this part of his life, and has always reiterated that his focus would always be on cricket rather any other controversy.
