An incident of minor girl’s r*pe case emerged from Mumbai where the crime came to light after victim complained of some discomfort. It later came to light that she was pregnant, and after running several DNA tests, the one that match was of the victim’s father. Read on for more.
The S*xual Harassment Case From Mumbai
As per the reports, a 20-year-old girl who cannot speak or hear was allegedly r*ped by her father. The incident happened in Mumbai’s Cuffe Parade neighbourhood. Going by the police investigation, two men, one of them was 17-year-old, and both were identified by the victim. However, the investigation only began after the victim agreed to filing a complaint on the matter. When the father was asked about the girl’s pregnancy, he dismissed knowing anything about it, and also refused to file any FIR.
As per the NDTV report, the incident came to light in September last year when the girl complained about some discomfort in her stomach to her grandmother using hand gestures. When tests were run, the hospital discovered that she was five months pregnant. Around 17 DNA’s were taken along with the victim’s father, and it was only after the father’s victim matched with the foetus, the police arrested him. The police suspects that s*xual harassment case took place sometime between March and September last year. The investigation is currently underway.
