Meghalaya Honeymoon Case: Sonam Raghuvanshi, And More Accused Of Killing Raja Sent To Police Custody

The Meghalaya honeymoon case is unfolding with more and more shocking details each day. In the latest updates, the four accused for the murder of Raja Raghuvanshi have reportedly confessed to the crime and also his wife Sonam Raghuvanshi’s involvement. She was also presented before the Shillong Court on Wednesday, and the court has sent her to police custody. Read on to know more about it.

Sonam Raghuvanshi Sent To Police Custody

The Meghalaya honeymoon case is seeing new twists and turns everyday. In the latest updates, the four accused were presented before a court in Shillong. As per the news reports, all the accused including Sonam Raghuvanshi were sent to police custody for 8 days, however, the police had requested for 10 days of custody. As per the reports, the Special Investigation Team will be recreating the crime scene during these 8 days of remand.

For the unversed, Sonam Raghuvanshi was arrested from Uttar Pradesh and is accused of plotting her husband, Raja Raghuvanshi’s death. She allegedly planned this with her alleged boyfriend Raj Kushwaha, an accountant who was working at Sonam’s family-run business, as per the police.

However, Raj Kushwaha’s mother has claimed that her son is innocent and was being framed in the crime. His sister also claimed that Raj addressed Sonam as ‘didi’, as per the news reports. Another video of Sonam’s brother visiting Raja Raghuvanshi’s mother surfaced on social media. In this video, Sonam’s brother was seen consoling the mother and he also assured her of getting strict punishment for Sonam if she is accused of the crime.

The police in currently investigating the case and trying to collect more evidences.
