In the latest updates on the case, it has been reported that Sonam Raghuvanshi, wife of the victim arrested in the alleged murder paid a big amount to the hitmen hired to do the job. Latest Updates On Meghalaya Honeymoon Case
Sonam Raghuvanshi has been arrested for allegedly plotting her husband’s murder in Meghalaya, during their honeymoon. As per an NDTV report, Sonam had kept an amount of 4 lakhs to pay to the hitmen hired to kill her husband, however, later she raised the amount to 20 lakhs. As per the police sources, Sonam also helped one of the hitmen to throw Raja Raghuvanshi’s body inside the gorge in Sohra area of East Khasi Hills district.
Another shocking detail that emerged is that the victim met the killers for the first time at Bengaluru airport. They briefly interacted as they were from the city.
As per the news reports, many expensive jewellery items were also missing from Raja Raghuvanshi’s body which also raised doubts about the murder. As per the report, Raja wore jewellery worth 10 lakhs to this trip which was entirely planned by Sonam Raghuvanshi. Reports also say that Sonam had not booked the return tickets for the trip.
Sonam Raghuvanshi’s family has said that her daughter is innocent. However, as per the initial investigation, the police suspect that Sonam planned the murder with her alleged boyfriend, who had hired his friends to kill Raja. We hope justice is served soon!
