The Sonam Raghuvnanshi case shocked the nation and how. A 29-year-old man, Raja Raghuvanshi, was brutally killed in Meghalaya when he was on a honeymoon with his wife, Sonam. The wife is the prime accused and is in police custody along with 4 men. Her alleged lover, Raj Kushwaha, is suspected to be the mastermind. The investigation has revealed shocking details about the crime, and on the other hand, the victim’s brother has also made many claims and demands to hold the accused accountable. Here are some latest updates on the case.
Brother’s Demand
The brother of Raja Raghuvanshi, an Indore-based businessman whose wife was allegedly killed, has made some claims. As per the reports, Sachin Raghuvanshi is still unclear as to why Raj Kushwaha killed his brother. During the interview, he stated that the motive was not clear, and Raj could’ve run away with Sonam instead of killing his brother. He also believes that more people were involved in the crime. As per an ANI report, Sachin also demanded a narcotics test (Lie-detector test) on the accused, and he made this appeal to the government.
Property Dealer Arrested
On Saturday night, an Indore-based property dealer, Silom James, was arrested in Mahalaxmi Nagar. As per the Times of India report, the police have recovered CCTV footage which showed Silom removing items from the flat where Sonam and Raj allegedly took shelter after the crime. As per the reports, Silom is allegedly accused of removing a piston, 5 lakhs in cash, jewellery and food items from the flat. The police will put him as the co-accused in the case, and he was sent for a routine medical examination before being transferred to Shillong.
Security Guard
A security guard who allegedly helped Silom James in removing things from the flat has also been arrested, as per the news reports.

Belongings found?
As per a Hindustan Times report, Silom James took the investigators to the place where he had burnt a box of Sonam Raghuvanshi’s belonging.s. However, the police found no traces of a pistol, jewellery or cash and the burnt items would be sent for further forensic examination, as per the reports.
