Today, in a glamorous ceremony held in Jaipur, Rajasthan’s Manika Vishwakarma was officially crowned Miss Universe India 2025. Manika received this prestigious title from last year’s Miss Universe Rhea Singha. She will now represent India at the 74th edition of the Miss Universe pageant that is to be held in Thailand this year. Read on to know who Manika Vishwakarma is!
Who Is Manika Vishwakarma
Manika Vishwakarma is a final-year Political Science and Economics student currently residing in Delhi. She was crowned Miss Universe Rajasthan in 2024 before taking home the title of Miss Universe 2025. Judges and audience both were very impressed by Manika’s thoughtful answers to the questions asked to her during the Q&A segment of the Miss Universe India pageant’s finals.
In one of the questions, she was asked to choose between providing short-term financial aid to impoverished families or advocating for women’s education; she chose to educate women, as she believes that it is the only way to break long-term poverty that is prevalent in India.
Manika, who is from Sri Ganganagar, Rajasthan, has a remarkable list of achievements. She is a public speaker, an alumnus of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), and a classical dance-trained artist. She is also a nationally acclaimed painter, prize-winning for institutions such as the Lalit Kala Academy. In the Ministry of External Affairs, she has also represented India in the BIMSTEC Sewocon. Manika has also founded Neuronova, an initiative to increase awareness of neurodivergence.

Preparing for the next round of Miss Universe 2025 in Thailand, Manika Vishkarma is ready to put India on the global map with confidence and a purpose of inspiration. Speaking on her selection, Manika mentioned that she views this honor as a way of influencing positive change.
