Famous Indian content creator Payal Dhare, popularly known as Payal Gaming, was linked to a 19-minute MMS video. This spread on social media like wildfire, with her dubbing, leading to many alleging that the girl in the clip was her. Payal Gaming took this controversy seriously and went to the Maharashtra Cyber Cell. She stated that such videos not only affected her image but also disturbed her mentally. She strongly condemned such acts and instantly sought legal action. The Maharashtra Cyber Department took action and identified the person who made and spread this video. In recent news, he has been apprehended and is being questioned as per the police. An FIR has also been registered under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the IT Act.

It was found that a young boy named Abhishek Jadhav had made this deepfake video during the investigation. Reportedly, Abhishek released a video stating his name and also publicly apologised to Payal Gaming while admitting that he did this with the help of AI and circulated it on social media. His Instagram ID name is by the name of ‘dobiga’, and the Cyber Cell also shared the apology statement on their official account.
