In a recent turn of events, a 21-year-old woman in the Nanded district of Maharashtra displayed the depth of her love for her boyfriend by marrying his corpse. As per reports, this happened after her father and two siblings allegedly killed him over caste differences. Clips of Aanchal Mamidwar’s emotional state at the deceased’s home and her call for her family to be hanged for the killing are going viral on social media.

About The Incident

As per the police, her boyfriend, Saksham Tate (20), was standing with his friends in the old Ganj area on Thursday evening when, suddenly, a heated argument started between him and Aanchal Mamidwar’s brother, Himesh Mamidwar, according to PTI. After Himesh allegedly fired at Saksham, the bullet pierced his ribs and smashed a tile on his head, killing him on the spot. The official told the publication that he, his brother Sahil (25), and their father Gajanan Mamidwar (45) were arrested after that.

On Friday, November 28, Aanchal came to Saksham’s house during the preparations for his final rites. She then ‘married’ his corpse by claiming that it would make their love ‘immortal,’ as per the eyewitnesses. After this, she spoke to the reporters seeking capital punishment for her father and brothers for murdering her boyfriend. She said,” I was in love with Saksham for the past three years, but my father opposed our relationship over caste differences. My family often threatened to kill Saksham, and now my father and brothers Himesh and Sahil have done it.” She said that she wanted her kin to be hanged.
