Lalu Prasad Yadav’s daughter, Rohini Acharya, is at the centre of news headlines, as tensions increase inside the Yadav family and the Rashtriya Janata Dal. On Tuesday, she posted a video of a phone call that Bihar journalist Kanhaiya Bhelari made to her, accusing him of making sexist comments about her and her decision to donate a kidney to her father, Lalu Prasad Yadav. Rohini Acharya Slams Journalist Over Offensive Remarks
In a video shared by Lalu Yadav’s daughter Rohini Acharya, she asks Kanhaiya Bhelari why he said on TV that married daughters did not have much time to spend at their parental homes. She repeatedly asks him how many hours or how many days are allowed.
Bhelari immediately tries to change the topic, saying that he was referring to somebody else. Rohini then asks why nobody questions a daughter’s right to save a father’s life. She also asks why critics never ask “where the sons are” when a daughter comes forward. Along with the video, Rohini posted a long message on X, slamming people who insulted her kidney donation. She said some journalists and online trolls had termed her kidney “dirty,” which she found highly offensive.
During the call, Rohini further told Bhelari that his mother and daughter-in-law “should be ashamed” of him over his views. She finally parted ways by telling him he was “not worthy” of speaking with her.
Growing Family Disputes In The Yadav Family
The dispute comes days after Rohini Acharya accused her brother, Tejashwi Yadav and his close aides of insulting and mistreating her. She accused them of calling her “dirty” for donating her kidney and even trying to throw her out of the house. Rohini further said she regretted donating her kidney and advised women to be careful about sacrificing for their parental families.

Since her accusations, several Yadav family members have left the Patna residence to avoid media attention. Tej Pratap Yadav has openly supported Rohini Acharya and criticised Tejashwi’s advisors.
