This came after some Shiv Sena workers vandalised the venue over Kunal Kamra’s joke on minister Eknath Shinde. Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis Demands Apology
Kunal Kamra took a jibe at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde during his latest show. He called him a “Gaddar” traitor and these statements did not sit well with the Shiv Sena workers. Even the Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis made an official statement and demanded an apology from Kunal Kamra. Devendra Fadnavis also said that one cannot stop so low in the name of comedy and disrespect a Deputy Chief Minister.
What Did Kunal Kamra Say?
As per an NDTV report, Kunal Kamra spoke to the police from Tamil Nadu. The comedian also stated that he was not paid by the opposition party to make any such comments about the minister. Furthermore, Kunal Kamra refused to apologise to Eknath Shinde and also told the police that he had no regrets about his statement. Kunal Kamra also said that he would only apologise if the court ordered him to do it, as per the reports. The artist has also given the details of his financial accounts in case police wanted to check for a shady transaction.

For the unversed, Kunal Kamra’s show was shot in The Habitat, and the Shiv Sena vandalised the venue after the show went live. They caused a ruckus at the popular comedy club, after which the owners of the club posted an official notice about shutting down the venue. They also clarified that the club does not endorse the views of the artist.
