The infamous Coldplay Kiss Cam incident between former Astronomer CEO Andy Byron and former HR director Kristin Cabot remains a hot topic, not only because it went viral, but because of the private lives it touched. Here is how the story continues to unfold with new information about Kristin’s dysfunctional marriage to her CEO husband, Andrew Cabot of Privateer Rum.
Kristin Cabot Was Already Struggling In Marriage With Andrew Cabot
As per reports from The New York Post, Kristin and Andrew’s relationship was tense even prior to the scandal. Sources indicate Andrew was in Japan on business when the viral situation happened and arrived home to a media storm and personal mayhem.
Kristin’s past relationships indicate that she was once married to Kenneth C. Thornby, with whom she has a daughter. The two parted ways in 2018, and their divorce was finalized in 2022. Shortly afterwards, Kristin allegedly wedded Andrew Cabot, a member of Boston’s upper-class “Brahmin” lineage. The two bought a 2.2 million Rye, New Hampshire mansion, implying a long-settled and wealthy lifestyle.
When reached for comment by The Post, Andrew Cabot refused to comment, remaining silent in the midst of the current spotlight. The source also went on to mention that the Cabots are rated as one of the oldest and richest families in New England, bringing additional public interest to the situation at hand.
The scandal has also resulted in significant changes at Astronomer, the technology company where both Kristin and Andy were employed. On the other hand, Andy Byron resigned as CEO of Astronomer and Pete DeJoy was announced as the interim CEO. Kristin, while not immediately fired, has since resigned as Head of HR. A spokesperson for the company has confirmed that Kristin is no longer with Astronomer.
