Korean Man Jailed For S*xually Assaulting Woman During Live Stream. This Is Disgusting!

Trigger Warning: The article mentions r*pe and s*xual assault.

Every day, news about terrible crimes against women surfaces on TV or online. Just when it seems things can’t get worse, another shocking story proves otherwise and leaves our blood boiling. Men continue to commit horrific acts without any remorse, and this case is yet another painful example of such cruelty. Read on.

Male Streamer Sentenced To 8 Years Of Jail For Assaulting Woman

On May 21, 2025, a man in his 30s was sentenced to eight years in prison by the Seoul Central District Court. He was found guilty of s*xually assaulting an unconscious woman during a live stream. The court’s Criminal Division 29 charged him with forced molestation. After serving his sentence, the man will be on probation for three years. He is also banned from working with children, teens, or people with disabilities for ten years.

What is more triggering is that last year, Kim streamed the assault to around 200 viewers, and none of them reported it to the police. The victim, who was unconscious during the act, later learnt about it and filed a report herself. The court did not believe Kim’s claim that the woman agreed to the act. It was clear she was unconscious and could not consent. The judge said Kim streamed the assault to get more viewers and make money. His actions were planned to draw attention with shocking content, harming the victim for profit.

This case has raised alarms about live-streaming platforms. It shows how some people use these platforms for illegal acts. The fact that no viewers reported the crime is troubling. People really need to take action when they see something wrong online. Society must work together to prevent such acts and protect others.
