Kolkata Rape Murder: Accused Sanjay Roy Confesses To Brutal Crime With No Sign Of Remorse. This Is Alarming!

In a chilling development in the Kolkata rape and murder case, the suspect Sanjay Roy has confessed to the heinous crime of assaulting and killing a young trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. Despite his admission during police interrogation, Sanjay Roy reportedly displayed a shocking lack of remorse, even challenging authorities with statements like, hang him if they want as per reports.

Accused Found Guilty In Kolkata Rape Murder Case

Sanjay Roy, who had a history of failed marriages and was found to possess inappropriate content on his mobile, had managed to integrate himself within the hospital environment despite not being an official police officer. He masqueraded as a member of the Kolkata Police, often seen wearing a T-shirt marked with KP and using a bike that bore a KP tag. His deceptive behaviour allowed him unregulated access throughout the hospital, where he was ostensibly employed as a civic volunteer.

The body of the victim, a second-year postgraduate trainee in chest medicine, was discovered in a semi-nude state with multiple injuries inside the hospital’s seminar hall. The preliminary autopsy suggested that she had been sexually assaulted prior to her murder, corroborating the allegations made by her devastated father. Roy’s arrest came after his actions aroused suspicion among hospital staff and authorities. His background includes a stint with the Kolkata Police’s disaster management group before transferring to the police welfare cell, ultimately leading him to the medical college where the crime took place.

This gruesome incident has triggered an outcry for stricter oversight and security measures in public institutions, particularly medical facilities, to ensure the safety of all workers and patients. The community and colleagues of the victim continue to seek justice, calling for thorough investigations and appropriate actions against such criminal behaviours within trusted public services.
