Kolkata Doctor Rape, Murder Case: Main Accused Claims Senior Police Officers Are Involved!

After three months of the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case, daily court proceedings have finally begun at a Sealdah court. The main accused Sanjay Roy was also present for the hearing, however, he has continued to plead not guilty in the case. Moreover, the main accused has also claimed the involvement of senior police officers in framing him. Read on for more updates on the horrifying crime.
Daily Hearings Begin At Sealdah Court
A 31-year-old trainee doctor was raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College in Kolkata and it’s been almost three months since this horrific crime. Finally, the daily hearings against the main accused have begun at a court in Sealdah. The main accused Sanjay Roy was presented before the court, however, he continued to plead not guilty in the case. During a brief interaction with the media, Roy also said that he would give the names of the people involved in framing him for the crime. He further said that the senior police officer and police commissioner Vineet Goyal is also involved. Sanjay Roy also said that they did not let him talk before the court, while being taken back, as per the news reports.

As per the news, the victim’s parents have also recorded their respective statements before the court headed by the additional district and sessions judge Anirban Das.
The CBI has filed a chargesheet against the prime accused and has mentioned all the evidence collected during the investigation. From CCTV footage to blood samples and DNA reports, everything was included in the chargesheet.
