The 31-year-old Kolkata doctor’s heinous rape and murder case has left every Indian feeling furious and hopeless about the safety of women in India. Nationwide protests have been organised to demand justice for the victim and the CBI is currently handling this twisted case. However, the most affected people in this case are the victim’s parents who have now made some strong allegations against the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and people of the department. Here’s what they said in their latest statement to the media.
1. Mother Says Daughter Didn’t Want To Go To RG Kar College
The victim’s mother has revealed that her daughter was not very keen on going to college. She added that this change in her happened a few days before the crime happened.
2. Father Thinks Killing Took Place Somewhere Else
The doctor’s father strongly believes and has claimed that his daughter was not killed in the seminar room. This statement came after the vandalism took place at the RK Kar Medical College and attempts were made to tamper with the evidence.
3. Cremated The Victim’s Body In Haste
The 31-year-old doctor’s father also revealed that his daughter’s body was cremated in a hurry. He stated that there were three bodies to be cremated and his daughter’s body was made to go first. The father believes that there was an intent to destroy the evidence.
4. Raises Questions About Mamata Banerjee’s Contribution To The Case
The victim’s parents are not happy with how the West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee handled the case. The father also alleged that Mamata Banerjee is making sure that protests to demand justice for the victim are silenced. They also declined the compensation offered by the state government and demanded for strict punishment for the culprits who killed her daughter.

5. Concerns Over State Police Investigation
The parents expressed that they were not satisfied with the work done by the State Police. The victim’s father said there was no progress made before the case was handled by the CBI.
6. No Cooperation From College
The victim’s father also stated that there was no support or cooperation from the Chest Department or the college. They also believe that the are other people involved in the crime and it could be done by one person only.
7. Told That It Was A Suicide
The victim’s father revealed that the college initially labelled their daughter’s death as suicide and also revealed that they waited for three hours before seeing the daughter’s body.
