After the horrific rape and murder of a 31-year-old Kolkata doctor, the country has been protesting constantly for justice. Recently, it was reported that the father of the trainee doctor refused to accept compensation as it would hurt his daughter. He also declined to disclose any details about his conversation with the Central Bureau of Investigation, using law as a reason.

Kolkata Doctor’s Father Refuses To Take Compensation

The father of the doctor who was raped and murdered in a state-run hospital declined to accept any compensation. He said that all he wants from the authorities is justice for his daughter. The Central Bureau of Investigation, which was handed over the horrific crime by the government, met with the deceased’s family on Thursday. The trainee doctor’s father refused to give out any information from their meeting citing law as a reason. However, the CBI assured the family that the accused would be arrested soon. The father also thanked the masses for supporting his daughter’s case.

The victim’s father said to a TV program on Wednesday that his daughter was a diligent student. He mentioned a journal entry in which he stated his daughter’s goal was to win a gold medal in her post-graduate medical program. Five physicians and hospital employees were called in for questioning by the Special Crime Branch of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Thursday. Global indignation has been sparked by the tragedy. In his 11th Independence Day speech, Prime Minister Narendra Modi brought up the rape and murder that occurred in Kolkata. emphasized the necessity of instilling in those who intend to perpetrate crimes against women a fear of the law.
