The CBI has taken the ex-RG Kar Medical College principal  Sandip Ghosh into custody after some financial irregularities were discovered in the hospital. The ex-principal was also questioned about his decision to order renovations in the room adjacent to the alleged crime scene where the trainee doctor was raped and murdered. Now, a Bengal BJP minister has shared a viral letter that shows Sandip Ghosh’s approval for the renovations. Read to know more about it.

BJP Minister Shares Viral Letter Of Sandip Ghosh’s Approval For Renovation

On September 5, BJP minister Sukanta Majumdar took to his Twitter handle to share a letter. In this letter, Sandip Ghosh allegedly approved renovations of the room as a solution to the lack of proper toilets and separate rooms for doctors. The letter is dated August 10, which was a day after the 31-year-old trainee doctor was allegedly raped and murdered. The letter was addressed to the engineers of various PWD departments of Kolkata. Sharing the letter, Sukanta Majumdar wrote that the Police Commissioner ignored the alleged letter despite protestors and doctors claiming that the crime was tampered with.

The CBI and his house are currently questioning Sandip Ghosh was also raided by the investigation to look for more clues.

The trainee doctor’s parents made some serious allegations against the Kolkata Police and claimed that they rushed the cremation. They also claimed that a senior police officer tried to bribe them which they immediately declined. The Supreme Court hearing of the case was also cancelled as it was initially supposed to take place on September 5.
