The Kolkata doctor’s rape and murder case is getting twisted with each passing day. The prime accused in the case Sanjay Roy backed out from his previous statements after claiming that he did not commit the heinous crime. What Did Sanjay Roy Claim During The Polygraph Test?
The prime accused in the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case Sanjay Roy, a civic volunteer suddenly took a U-turn from his statements after claiming to be not guilty of the crime before the Sealdah Court. Roy claimed he was being framed and was ready to prove his innocence through the lie-detector test. During the polygraph test, the prime accused claimed that the victim was already dead when he saw her in the seminar hall. Sanjay Roy also added that he fled the crime scene because he got scared and had no clue who committed the crime, as per a report by Hindustan Times.
However, the CBI told the media that the culprit could be lying as they found many discrepancies during the interrogation. They also added that Sanjay Roy was nervous during the lie detector test and could not justify all the marks and injuries on his body. He also could not justify all the evidence that the CBI presented before him, added the news reports.

During the investigation, the CBI found CCTV footage of Sanjay Roy entering and leaving the crime scene. He was also arrested after the police found a Bluetooth earphone at the crime scene that belonged to him.
The next Supreme Court hearing on the case is scheduled for September 5.
