The horrific Kolkata doctor rape and murder case has every woman scared and unsure about their safety. A 31-year-old trainee doctor was brutally raped and murdered at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital’s seminar hall. Several questions have been raised following this gruesome case with doctors protesting nationwide. Amidst all the public outrage, Munawar Faruqui took to his Instagram and shared a poem, Beti Hui Hai.

The Bigg Boss 17 winner shared an emotional poem titled Beti Hui Hai on Instagram. He added a caption, “Joh hum social media pe dekh rahe he yeh toh reported hai, socho joh report nahi hota? Socho itna technology itna sab achieve karne ke baad hum kanha hai? Siyasat ko ek dusre se ladne se ya dharam ke naam ladane se fursat hoti toh shayad 78 saal ke baad bhi yeh haal naa hota.” He’s ashamed as a man and not just this incident, he has heard of many such horrific incidents with baby girls and they’ve not even left animals.

He further requested men to not make this situation about men vs women. Moreover, he only wants to say one thing to men about the entire debate. Don’t speak much, listen to whatever women are saying. Women are frustrated during this time and hence they are saying things like all men are the same. He further also asked them to just be quiet and listen to them because currently, they are going through so much. Munawar Faruqui also highlighted the need of better safety measures for women.
