Kolkata Doctor Rape, Murder Case Shocker: CBI Alleges Crime Scene Was Altered, WB Govt Denies Claim: “Everything Was Videographed”
CBI informs Supreme Court that the crime scene was tampered with!

In a major update on the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case, the CBI on Thursday informed the Supreme Court that where the crime against the on-duty doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital in Kolkata was tampered with. On August 9, the news about the news of the post-graduate doctor sent shockwaves across the country which led to many protests all around demanding justice for the deceased woman.
CBI Alleges Tampering With Crime Scene In Kolkata
In his appearance on behalf of the CBI, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta said that the crime scene had been “altered” by the time the agency began its investigation on day five. The West Bengal government refuted the allegation, stating that “everything was videographed” and that a chronology of each incident is available.
A civic was arrested by the Kolkata Police in connection to the crime on August 9, the day they found the doctor’s body with severe injuries. The CBI began its inquiry on August 14 after the Kolkata Police’s investigation was transferred to it by the Calcutta High Court on August 13. The CBI further stated that the initial police report was only filed at 11:45 p.m., following the victim’s cremation. The CBI additionally stated, “We entered the scene on the 5th day and the CBI probe to start is a challenge and the crime scene is altered.”
Solicitor General Tushar Mehta who is appearing for the CBI said that first the FIR was registered after the cremation at 11:45 PM. Then they told the parents that it was a suicide case, then death. And then friends of the doctor at the hospital insisted on videography and then suspected that something was missing.
