It’s almost been a month since the horrifying rape and murder case of the 31-year-old trainee doctor at RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. There have been slow developments on the case which is being investigated by CBI. As per a recent report, the investigating team is on the verge of wrapping up the case. They have entirely ruled out the suspicions around gangrape as all the evidence only points to one alleged culprit, Sanjay Ghosh, the civic volunteer who worked at the hospital.
As per a news report by NDTV, CBI has completely ruled out the possibility of gang rape in the trainee doctor’s alleged rape and murder case. Last month they also told the same to the media. As per the latest news report, the CBI is almost in the last stage of the investigation and the evidence found during the investigation only shows the sole culprit Sanjay Roy’s involvement in the crime. The report further mentions that the CBI will soon wrap the case and is waiting for advice from the AIIMS doctors on the DNA reports they’ve sent.
The West Bengal Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee has put a lot of pressure on the CBI after she raised questions on the developments in the case.
