On Tuesday, the BJP demanded a polygraph test for West Bengal’s Chief Minister, Mamata Banerjee. Bharatiya Janata Party claimed that the TMC leader was protecting people involved in the Kolkata doctor rape and murder case. They also demanded a polygraph test for West Bengal police commissioner Vineet Goyal. Amit Malviya, co-incharge of the BJP for West Bengal, claimed that the accused rode a bike registered in the name of the Kolkata Police Commissioner on the night of the crime.

BJP’s spokesperson, Gaurav Bhatia, accused West Bengal CM Mamata Banerjee of protecting those involved in the horrific Kolkata doctor rape and murder case. He immediately asked her to quit as the chief minister because of these accusations. He’s really worried about what’s happening in West Bengal as it seems like it’s going against the rules in the Constitution. Furthermore, Gaurav Bhatia stated that if anyone is acting like a dictator in the country, it’s Mamata Banerjee. He also suggested conducting a polygraph test on her and Vineet Goyal to find out the truth.

Amit Malviya shared a video of the rally on X and wrote, “Mamata Banerjee can’t escape accountability. She must step down for a fair probe, and submit herself to a polygraph test.” On Wednesday, BJP announced a 12-hour Bangla Bandh demanding CM Mamata Banerjee’s resignation to protest the police and to protest police action on people marching towards the state secretariat. Sukanta Majumdar announced this strike on Wednesday and urged citizens to participate from 6 AM to 6 PM today.
