Accused Says He Knew Nothing About The Kolkata Doctor’s Rape And Murder
Sanjay Roy, the primary suspect in the Kolkata doctor’s rape and murder case, is expected to undergo a lie-detector test on Sunday. However, before the polygraph test, he changed his statement and claimed that he was innocent and was being framed. The accused gave his consent to undergo the lie detector test because he wanted to prove his innocence. According to jail officials, Sanjay Roy told the jail guards that he did not know about the rape and murder.
Earlier, he admitted to the rape and murder of the trainee doctor in the seminar hall of the RG Kar Medical College and Hospital. However, on Friday, he repeated these statements in front of the additional chief judicial magistrate (ACJM) court in Sealdah. The CBI and the police found significant differences in what he said. According to HT, he was trying to confuse the investigators. Furthermore, the officer added that he couldn’t explain the injuries on his face or why he was in the building when the crime happened. Due to technical issues, Sanjay Roy’s lie detector test was postponed to Saturday.
