Kolkata Doctor Rape And Murder Case: CBI Questions Former MSVP Of RG Kar Medical College Sanjay Vashishth
Sanjay Vashishth was interrogated regarding the financial discrepancies at the RG Kar Medical College.

This morning, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) raided the residence of the former principal of RG Kar Medical College and Hospital, Dr. Sandip Ghosh, in Kolkata. The Central Bureau of Investigation also carried out raids at 15 locations linked to the case, including those of former medical superintendent and vice principal Sanjay Vashishth. The Calcutta High Court directed the agency to look into the matter of financial misconduct.
Why Did CBI Question RG Kar Medical College’s Ex-MSVP Sanjay Vashishth?
A team of seven members arrived at Sandip Ghosh’s residence for questioning at 6 a.m. However, they couldn’t enter his house for approximately 90 minutes as the doors were not opened. Furthermore, since 8 a.m., the officers have been questioning Sandip Ghosh at his Beliaghata residence. Meanwhile, other team members were engaged in interrogating Sanjay Vashishth. According to PTI, Sanjay Vashishth was interrogated about his knowledge regarding the financial discrepancies that occurred at RG Kar Medical College during his tenure as the MSVP.

Another professor from the forensic medicine department of the medical institution was also interrogated. According to reports, CBI officers also visited a supplier’s house in Howrah. A separate team of CBI officials raided the former principal’s office within the hospital premises and also the canteen. Furthermore, the CBI ordered principal Manas Kumar Bandyopadhyay to report to the hospital in the morning, where he cooperated with the team throughout their search. The anti-corruption division of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) also searched the houses and offices of people involved in supplying materials for patient management and healthcare.
