A woman named Firoza Khatoon worked as the Assistant Superintendent in the Satna Central Jail. During her duty, she met an ex-murder convict in Jail named Dharmendra, and that’s when their love story began. He was serving a life sentence in a 2007 murder case when the jailer met him. The ex-convict often met Firoza, and their professional interactions grew into something more. Now the couple has exchanged wedding vows, and their interfaith marriage took place on May 5 in Chhatarpur district, as per an NDTV report. The interfaith marriage took place as per the Hindu rituals, and Vedic mantras were also chanted. Going by the reports, the Kanyadaan, a wedding ritual, was done by the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) district vice-president Rajbahadur Mishra and his wife. Reportedly, the bride’s family refused to participate in the wedding.
