Royal Challengers Bengaluru beat Sunrisers Hyderabad by six wickets and chased down 202 runs with 26 balls to spare. The home crowd cheered loudly as the defending champions showed they are in top form this season. It was a complete team performance that made fans very happy. Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first but lost three wickets quickly for just 29 runs. Stand-in captain Ishan Kishan played a brave knock of 80 runs off 38 balls. Ankit Verma also hit well and scored 43 runs off 18 balls. Thanks to them, SRH managed to reach 201 for nine wickets.
RCB came out to bat and made the chase look easy. Devdutt Padikkal scored a quick 61 runs off 26 balls. Virat Kohli and Rajat Patidar also batted well. Patidar made 31 runs off just 12 balls and the team finished the game in only 15.4 overs.
Jacob Duffy shone on his debut for RCB as he took three wickets for just 22 runs in four overs. His bowling helped break SRH’s batting early and put them under pressure.
