During a high-scoring clash between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Chennai Super Kings at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, a small act of kindness became the biggest highlight of the night. When young CSK batter Sarfaraz Khan got out after a brave knock, Virat Kohli did not celebrate. Instead, the RCB star showed sportsmanship by clapping warmly and giving him a big thumbs-up. This simple gesture quickly went viral and melted hearts across the cricket world.

For the unversed, RCB batted first and scored a huge 250 runs for 3 wickets. Virat Kohli and Phil Salt started slowly but steadily. Devdutt Padikkal scored a fifty and then captain Rajat Patidar and Tim David hit 99 runs in just 35 balls to finish strongly. They set a tough target of 251 runs for CSK.

CSK began their chase of the big score with a surprising start, losing three wickets for just 30 runs in the first three overs. The team was under huge pressure. That is when Sarfaraz Khan walked in and changed the mood completely. The 27-year-old played with zero fear and attacked the bowlers from the very first ball. He smashed boundaries all over the ground and brought up his fifty in just 25 deliveries. Thanks to his fearless batting, CSK reached 77 runs by the end of the powerplay and gave their fans some hope.

However, the joy did not last long. Right after the powerplay ended, Sarfaraz tried to step out and was stumped by Jitesh Sharma off Krunal Pandya’s bowling. As the disappointed batter started walking back, Virat Kohli noticed him from the field. He called out to Sarfaraz, and when the young player turned around, the no. 18 player clapped his hands and gave a thumbs-up to appreciate the innings.
