After the IPL match, a brief conversation took place among the LSG owner Sanjiv Goenka, team captain Rishab Pant and head coach Justin Langer. It happened on the field, but it was not audible. However, through the visuals, it looked like a serious and intense discussion. Later, IPL founder Lalit Modi took to his X handle to remark. It seemed to be a dig at IPL owners.
In his Tweet, he wrote that the Football league owners treated their players with so much respect and professionalism, while the IPL team owners chased headlines and āberatedā their players right after the match, on the field. In his Tweet, Lalit Modi raised many questions around the approach to IPL, and spoke about problems like investing money in stardom, or fan experience through decent stadiums, or other sustainable models for more brand building.
