The IPL 2026 season is getting hotter every day and is proving that the game is never over till the end. In the ongoing rivalry week, SRH took on CSK in a nail-biting encounter. Abhishek Sharma’s fiery batting, CSK’s tight bowling in the first half, and the dramatic chase that SRH managed to defend kept everyone fully hooked. The match was played at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad and Sunrisers Hyderabad beat Chennai Super Kings by a narrow margin of 10 runs. The game turned out to be a nail-biter that kept fans on the edge of their seats till the very last ball. CSK won the toss and chose to bowl first. SRH managed to put up 194 runs for the loss of nine wickets in their 20 overs. In the chase, the super kings reached only 184 and fell short of the target by 10 runs.

SRH started their batting very strongly. Opener Abhishek Sharma played a brilliant knock and scored 59 runs in just 22 balls. His fifty came in only 15 balls and Travis Head added 23 runs before he got out. Captain Ishan Kishan scored zero and was out quickly. In the middle overs, Heinrich Klaasen played a very important innings of 59 runs off 39 balls. He hit some big shots and helped the team reach a good total. CSK bowlers tried hard in the last few overs. Jamie Overton and Anshul Kamboj took three wickets each. Mukesh Choudhary picked up two wickets, and Gurjapneet Singh took one. Their good bowling stopped SRH from scoring more runs.

In the second innings, CSK began with energy but lost wickets regularly. Sanju Samson, the wicketkeeper, scored only 7 runs and got out early. Captain Ruturaj Gaikwad made 19 runs. Ayush Mhatre, who came as an impact player, hit 30 quick runs but could not stay long. Sarfaraz Khan scored 25 runs, and Matthew Short played the best innings for CSK with 34 runs. Shivam Dube added 21 runs, and Jamie Overton scored 16. The batters tried their best, but they could not keep up with the required run rate.

SRH bowlers did a great job defending the total. Eshan Malinga was the hero with three key wickets. He got rid of important CSK players at the right time. Nitish Kumar Reddy took two wickets and bowled very economically in the middle overs. Other bowlers like Shivang Kumar and Sakib Hussain also did a good job and helped SRH win the match.
