The weather in Guwahati on match day looks mostly clear, with some clouds. The temperature will stay nice and cool in the early 20s during the evening; however, there is a small chance of light rain, but experts say we should still get a full game. A short break or two might happen, but it should not spoil the match completely. Overall, the conditions look favourable for an exciting and high-scoring game.

Furthermore, the pitch at Barsapara Stadium is very good for batting. In past T20 matches here, batters have scored lots of runs and hit many sixes. The ball comes nicely onto the bat and makes it easy to play big shots. Dew usually appears in the second innings, which often helps the team that chases. So, the captain who wins the toss may choose to bowl first.

On the other hand, Chennai Super Kings are facing some problems before this match. Their biggest star, MS Dhoni, is injured and will miss the first few weeks of the tournament. Australian bowler Nathan Ellis has been ruled out for the entire season due to a hamstring issue. Young player Dewald Brevis is also hurt and will skip the opening matches.
