IPL 2026 is coming soon and excitement is already building with many events around the country. Chennai Super Kings held their ROAR’26 event on March 22, and photos and videos went viral everywhere. The biggest highlight was Sivakarthikeyan urging MS Dhoni to play in the IPL till 60. Read on to know all about it!

The Chepauk Stadium was full of yellow shirts and loud cheers as fans met the team. Old players joined the current ones and brought back happy memories and lots of energy. Actor Sivakarthikeyan spoke to the crowd and shared what so many CSK fans feel.

Sivakarthikeyan expressed the fans’ true thoughts aloud. He said Dhoni always gives hope each year by not retiring. Fans wait every season for him to say he will definitely keep playing. Then he made everyone laugh with a fun line. He told Dhoni he could play until he was 60 years old. The whole stadium roared with joy and clapped hard and showed how much they love him.

Dhoni answered in his usual calm way. He did not make it dramatic or try to hide anything and spoke simply and honestly. Dhoni said it is very difficult to continue at this point. When Sivakarthikeyan praised his fitness, Dhoni replied that his body is getting weaker, not stronger. But he added with a small hope that he can still try.

Fans went gaga over his answer. They loved how he is still passionate but aware of time passing. They cheered loudly, not wanting to imagine CSK without him.

For the unversed, the IPL 2026 season will start on March 28 and run until May 31 and will give cricket fans plenty to cheer about. The BCCI has shared the first few match details, with the complete schedule coming soon after considering elections in some states. Ten teams will play 84 exciting games at different venues.

It begins with Royal Challengers Bengaluru facing Sunrisers Hyderabad at M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru on March 28 at 7:30 PM IST. Other early big games include Mumbai Indians vs Kolkata Knight Riders at Wankhede Stadium on March 29, and Rajasthan Royals vs Chennai Super Kings in Guwahati on March 30.
