In recent updates, the unfortunate murder of the 24-year-old MBA student in Indore was set off by a mix of suspicion, relationship conflicts, and the pressure of marriage, as per the police. Day by day, some very disturbing details of the case continue to come out. Investigation has revealed that the accused, Piyush Dhanotia, was in a relationship with the victim for about a year, and they were both in the second semester of an MBA program at college, as per HT.

About the Murder of an Indore MBA Student

As per the police, both families knew about their relationship as the two had known each other since joining college. DCP Krishna Lalchandani said that the murder happened on February 10 after they met in the accused’s rented room, where they had physical relations before a big argument. Police revealed that after their fight escalated, the accused suspected that the 24-year-old MBA student was communicating with other men through a mobile app, something he had strongly objected to, reportedly.

Apart from this, a big trigger for the crime was pressure from the woman’s family on the accused to marry her, which reportedly added to this anger. The girl was independent, and the accused did not like this as per the DSP. He also explained that the quarrels over these conflicts culminated in the accused strangling her to death with a rope. The investigator said that he admitted during the interrogation that his suspicion about her interactions with other men and fights over marriage led him to kill her.

Police also revealed that after the murder, the accused locked his room and fled, leaving his girlfriend’s body inside, which was later found in a semi-decomposed state after neighbours’ complaints of foul smell. The accused told the police that he had consumed alcohol and had performance-enhancing drugs in quantities far more than the prescribed dosage on the same day, as per Live Hindustan.

Police noted that the accused said his “excitement did not subside” even after the murder, so he continued to s*xually abuse the corpse. It was also found that while fleeing, the accused allegedly performed occult rituals near Panvel in Navi Mumbai, alleging that he wanted to communicate with her spirit since he was mentally disturbed after the crime.
