Couple Attend Wedding Reception Online

Among the many IndiGo passengers were a tech couple from Karantaka’s Hubbali, who missed their own wedding reception due to the delay. But rather than giving up, they showed up at the ceremony, but virtually, as per a report by NDTV. The newlywed software engineers were working in Bengaluru and were scheduled to fly to Gujarat Bhavan in Hubbali, but couldn’t go because of the IndiGo cancellations. Medha Kshirsagar from Hubballi got married to Sangama Das of Odisha in Bhubaneswar on November 23. But a formal reception was arranged at the bride’s hometown on Wednesday.

Medha and Sangama were left helpless after the flights were continuously being delayed from 9 AM until early morning the next day. The flight eventually got cancelled on December 2. Many of their relatives also faced similar cancellations in their flights. However, the guests had already come with all the preparations to the place. After this, the bride’s parents stepped in and took their place for the rituals. Both dressed for the occasion reportedly joined the reception through video conferencing, making perfect use of technology.
