From Anurag Kashyap To Mira Nair: Indian Celebrities Named In Epstein Files
Popular Indian names have made it to the Epstein Files which has shocked many people.
When the controversy involving Jeffrey Epstein, a convicted s*x offender, went viral, many may not have thought that Indian celebrities’ names would also make it to the Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice. However, people were shocked to find out that a few Indian celebrities’ names have been mentioned in the newly released batch of the said files. This also includes Anurag Kashyap, Mira Nair and more. Before we move forward with the article, it’s worth noting that the names mentioned in the files do not directly point to them being involved in the criminal activity yet.
1. Anurag Kashyap
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s name in the Epstein files truly shocked everyone. In that he was referred to as the ‘Bollywood guy” and “a famous Bollywood Director.” His name came up in the email exchanged between the convicted Jeffrey Epstein, Gino Yu, Giuseppe Bersani and Ornella Corazza. As of now, there is no official proof that connects the Gangs of Wassepur filmmaker to Epstein’s horrifying crimes.
2. Deepak Chopra
Deepak Chopra, who gained worldwide recognition for being a wellness guru, was also mentioned in the said files. According to the reports, the email exchanges between him and Jeffrey Epstein have raised many eyebrows. In one such exchange, Chopra asked him if the civil case against him had been dropped. Epstein responded with a “yup.” In another email, Chopra reportedly wrote, “The universe is a human construct. No such thing. Cute girls are aware when they make noises.”
3. Nandita Das
Another Indian celebrity mentioned in the Epstein Files was Nandita Das. Her name came up in relation to an event invitation mentioned in a newsletter sent to the s*x offender. He was invited to a public event in England, where Nandita Das was also invited as a speaker.
4. Mira Nair
Another Indian origin celebrity, mentioned in the Epstein Files, who turned heads was Mira Nair. Her name in the Epstein Files came up as she allegedly was in attendance at a party hosted at Jeffrey Epstein’s accomplice and convicted s*x trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s house in 2009.
