Whether it is sports, cinema, or any other field, Indian women are always making the country proud with their excellent work and determination. Examples are many, but today, let’s take our female athletes winning medals for India at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. After the historic win of the Indian women’s cricket team against Sri Lanka, let’s see what is our tally of medals won by the women sports players. Women’s Cricket
This win got India its first gold medal at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou. The cricket team led by captain Harmanpreet Kaur beat Sri Lanka in the final match by 19 runs and clinched the first gold medal. Many cricketers and athletes congratulated the team on their big win and expressed their pride. Prime Minister Narendra Modi also hailed the girls!
Women’s Team In Shooting
Our women’s shooter trio won a silver medal in the 10m air rifle competition held on September 24, Sunday. The women’s team included Ramita Jindal, Ashi Chouksey and Mehuli Ghosh. China won the first place in this competition.

Famous Indian shooter Ramita Jindal made us all proud by winning a bronze medal in the 10m air rifle shooting in her first-ever Asian Games.
Shooters Win Gold!
Adding the fourth gold medal in India’s bag, shooters Manu Bhaker, Rhythm Sangwan and Esha Singh won the women’s 25m Team Pistol event!
Air Pistol Event
Our Indian athletes secured 2 medals in this event- Gold and silver. Pak Gulia bagged the gold medal whereas 18-year-old Esha won the silver for our country!
50m Rifle
Another gold medal was added to India’s list after Sift Kaur Samra won the 50m Rifle 3 position.
Trap Team
Our Indian women’s team of Rajeshwari Kumari. Manisha Keer and Preeti Rajak won silver in the Trap Team event.
Skating Team
Our Indian women’s skating team of Aarathy Kasturi Raj, Karthika Jagadeeswaran, Heeral Sadhu and Sanjana Bathula bagged a bronze medal in the race.
Table Tennis
In the women’s doubles event of table tennis, Indian players Ayhika Mukherjee and Sutirtha Mukherjee won the bronze medal after losing to North Korea.
Steeplechase
Parul Chaudhary won a silver medal in the 300m steeplechase race while Priti Lamba won a bronze in the same event.
Long Jump
In the long jump event, Indian athlete Ancy Sojan bagged a silver medal for the country.
Hurdle
India’s star athlete Jyothi Yarraji won a silver medal in the 100m hurdles competition at the 19th Asian Games.
Boxing
In the women’s 54k boxing event, Preeti Pawar won a bronze medal for the country.
Discus Throw
Seema Punia won a bronze medal in the women’s discus throw event.
Wushu
Wushu is a type of martial art and India’s Naorem Roshibina Devi won a silver medal in women’s 60kg event.
Athletics
Parul Choudhary bagged gold in the 5000m race making the country proud again!

In women’s 57kg boxing, Parveen Hooda won the bronze medal.

And another Gold medal is here! The women’s team of Aditi Gopichand Swami, Jyothi Surekha Vennam and Parneet Kaur achieved this feat on October 5 after beating the Chinese competitors.

Making the country proud again with their exceptional performance. the women’s hockey team bagged a bronze.

Indian athletes have outdone themselves this year at the Asian Games, and this time our women’s Kabaddi team won a gold for the country.

Kiran Bishnoi bagged a bronze medal in the 76kg category of the wrestling event.

Antim Panghal bagged a bronze in the 53 kg category.
Sepaktakraw Or Kick Volleyball
The Indian women’s team won a bronze medal in the kick volleyball event also known as a Sepaktakraw.

This time at the Asian Games, India won medals in Archery and the women athletes had a lot to contribute to that. The women’s recurve team won a bronze medal.

Till now, our Indian athletes have secured a total of 12 medals in the 19th Asian Games, which includes, two gold, four silver and six bronze. However, there is still some time left for the competition to end, and we hope this count increases. Fingers crossed! Currently, China is leading the tally count with a total of 69 medals. The 19th Asian Games began on September 23, Saturday.
