Independence Day 2024: Many patriotic Indian films have kept us entertained on every Independence Day. And we are getting more of them every year. But the USP of these films is always the hard-hitting and powerful dialogues that stir a sense of patriotism in every Indian’s heart. And how can we not recall some of the evergreen ones that have been stuck in our minds forever, these are also from some of the best films.
1. Hindustan Zindabad Tha, Zindabad Hai, Zindabad Rahega…
Yes, you guessed it right. The dialogue is from our all-time favourite Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. The perfect dialogue delivery by Sunny Deol’s character Tara Singh still echoes in the mind of every Indian. I can hear it while I type!
2. Watan Ke Aage Kuch Bhi Nahi, Khud Bhi Nhi…
This dialogue was delivered by Alia Bhatt in Raazi in which she played the role of a spy. The actor gave a very power-packed performance in the film that also had Vicky Kaushal in a pivotal role.
3. Jab wahan border par log apni neend ki parwah kiye bina jagte hain…
This dialogue was in Holiday. Well, when it comes to Akshay Kumar’s patriotic movies, you know it has to have some good dialogue. The line goes, “Jab wahan border par log apni neend ki parwah kiye bina jagte hain, tab aap sheher mein chain ki need sote ho.”
4. “Yeh azaadi ki ladai hain, guzre hue kal se azaadi… aane waale kal ke liye.”
This epic dialogue was in the film Mangal Pandey starring Aamir Khan.
5. “Aap namak ka haq adaa kijiye, main mitti ka haq adaa karta hoon”
This one is from Ajay Devgn’s fim The Legends of Bhagat Singh.
6. “Mujhe states ke naam na sunayi dete hain na dikhayi dete hain, sirf ek mulk ka naam sunai deta hai… INDIA.”
Another classic dialogue from another loved Shah Rukh Khan film Chak De India.

7. “Yeh Musalman ka khoon yeh Hindu ka khoon … bata is mein Musalman ka kaunsa Hindu ka kaunsa, bata!”
We have all tried to deliver this dialogue like that of Nana Patekar in Krantiveer.
8. “Yeh Hindustan ab chup nahi behtega … yeh naya Hindustan hai … yeh ghar mein ghusega bhi aur maarega bhi”
This famous dialogue was said by Paresh Rawal’s character in URI: The Surgical Strike
9. “Ye Indian Army hain, hum dushmani mein bhi ek sharafat rakhte hain.”
Another hard-hitting line dedicated to our soldiers was delivered by Hrithik Roshan in Lakshya.
10. “Zindagi jeene ke do hi tarike hote hain, ek jo ho raha hai hone do, bardaasht karte jao ya fir zimmedari uthao use badalne ki.”
This very meaningful line is from Rang De Basanti.
11. “Meri uniform meri aadat hai … jaise ki saans lena, apne desh ki raksha karna”
Another patriotic line by Akshay Kumar in Rustom.
12. “Joh desh ke liye ladte hai … unki maut ka countdown unki pehli saans ke saath shuru ho jaata hai”
