IAS Tina Dabi was recently caught up in a controversy with students, and days later she is yet again trending on social media. A short video clip from the Republic Day flag hoisting is currently going viral on the internet in which which she allegedly made a small mistake while saluting the flag. Why Is Tina Dabi Trending?
Tina Dabi is currently the District Collector in Barmer, Rajasthan. The video that surfaced on the internet is from the Republic Day flag hoisting ceremony at the Barmer District Collectorate. In the video, IAS Tina Dabi unfurls the Indian Flag, and then turns to the opposite side while saluting. She quickly notices that something went wrong, and a guard points out to turn her face to the other side. This brief moment was captured on camera and it has now sparked several reactions from the social media users. Many users bashed her for not knowing how to to correctly salute a flag as an IAS officer, but some users called it a human mistake. Here are a few reactions.

A few months back, Tina Dabi made headlines after some college students claimed that they were detained for calling the IAS officer a ‘Reel Star’. They also claimed that she was not being efficient in resolving the issues at hand. However, Tina Dabi later shut down the claims and clarified that the issues were taken care of, and the noise on social media was only malign her image.
