Hema Committee Row: Actor Shruti Hariharan Demands Similar Report In Kannada Film Industry To Bring Transparency!

The Hema Committee Report has grabbed eyeballs from people across various film industries. The s*xual harassment allegations of some senior personalities from the Malayalam Film Industry have left everyone shocked. Prominent Indian actress and producer Shruti Hariharan, who is also an integral part of the Kannada film industry has demanded a similar committee in her industry as well. She strongly opined on addressing certain issues that are so persistent in the film industry. Read on to know more.
What Shruti Hariharan Said On Hema Committee Report?
Shruti Hariharan has done a lot of films in the Kannada film industry AKA Sandalwood. During an interview with TV9 Kannada Digital, she commented on the Hema Committee Report. She hailed the Government for taking up the issue at hand and making a strong move against it. Shruti Hariharan also stated that these issues were discussed in closed circles for the longest time and it’s commendable on the Government’s part to give it the due importance.
Shruti Hariharan also added that the report should not be viewed as something that is damaging the name of the Malayalam Film Industry but only a report that highlights issues that need to be addressed and tackled.

The actress further said that a similar committee should be formed in the Kannada Film Industry as well as it will hold the people accountable and bring transparency. This exact demand was made by Samantha Ruth Prabhu as well for the Telugu Film Industry.
Many other celebrities like Ekta Kapoor, Swara Bhasker and Revathy among others strongly reacted to the issue and called for strict actions.
